A quality I possess is I like to learn and gain experience in a professional setting which is why the traineeship role is a strong fit for me. I believe in setting myself up for success and learning skills useful in a office/business environment to thrive in an organisation, ensuring smooth functioning in day to day work and dealing with potential issues that can arise. I enjoy working in a fast paced organisation and having some variety in my work.

In my internship at university, I worked in a team to create a interactive database for a platform called OurVoice which is still developing. We dealt with a vast range of data, sourcing all the names of the MP's in the upper and lower house in Australian local government councils and their contact details. This experience has led me to self motivate because we worked to tight deadlines and everyone (including myself) were held accountable for the outputs we produced. After this experience, I have proved to myself I can self motivate and I can undertake vast amounts of work done in a set time.

I possess customer service skills from casual employment at university. I worked as an Orientation Ambassador at the welcome desk during Orientation periods to answer any questions the new students have about timetabling, classroom and lecturer theatre locations and anything inbetween. I ran tours to show the new students what Deakin has to offer and showed them the various facilities the university has. I enjoy talking to people and answering any questions they had and I believe I have outstanding written and spoken communication skills. I am computer literate and run drop in sessions via Zoom weekly as part of my Health Mentor Program Support Officer role and I am familiar with Zoom and MS teams. I was previously a mentor for the Faculty of Health and I acted as the first point of contact for commencing students. I was responsible for running meetings weekly and adapting content to the needs of the students, then reporting the outcomes of that week to the supervisor.
