Candidate Bio

I believe I am right for this role because I am a hardworking, reliable individual who works well in a team-based environment. I enjoy learning new skills and am always willing to take on new tasks and challenges. Growing up, I worked at my mum’s small-scale retail nursery, where I gained hands-on experience as a nursery hand and yard hand and developed an understanding of how a nursery operates. Being exposed to this environment from a young age also helped develop my genuine passion for plants and the horticulture industry. I am now eager to build upon this experience and further develop my knowledge and practical skills through a career in horticulture. I am a quick learner, have a positive attitude, and am committed to doing my best in any role I take on.

I have a deep passion for the outdoors and all living things, I am sure I will quickly and deeply fall in love with both my studies and work in horticulture as I already have a long history of personally studying biological systems. The opportunity to develop practical and theoretical horticultural skills would be one that I am deeply grateful to have because it will guide me towards my greatest dream of fostering a symbiotic relationship between modern society and the natural systems of Earth. I am well known for my diligence and the intensity of my passions amongst friends and colleagues. I can assure my total commitment to my work and studies because I already spend most of my free time in my garden or on hikes being able to garden at work is a dream come true. Furthermore I am very familiar with the appearance of a healthy plant. This attention to detail will be most valuable for my work in a nursery. I am also very grateful for opportunities allowing me to work long physically demanding hours as fitness is a large priority for me.

I am a hardworking person who can provide close attention to detail in high-stress environments.  For as long as I can remember, I've loved everything flora & fauna, especially anything native to Australia, and when it comes to nature, I am patient and ready to learn new things so that I can better understand the world around me.  I do my best to make smart choices like avoiding single-use plastics, buying local goods where possible, and volunteering for my community.  I have the habits, drive, and hands-on attitude to learn quickly and do my best to make a difference.

Recruiter Note's
