I’m really excited to bring my experience in retail into the horticulture industry. I’ve worked at Big W and Cotton On, where I’ve developed excellent communication and customer service skills. Being around people has taught me how to stay calm under pressure and ensure everything runs smoothly, and I know that’s going to help me in horticulture too, especially when it comes to managing outdoor projects and working with different team members, as well as attending to customer inquiries. I’m looking forward to building on my interest in plants and expanding my knowledge, all while using my strong work ethic and attention to detail to succeed in this role.

I’ve always been passionate about being outdoors. Through my experience at working part time at Bunnings, I’ve developed hands-on skills, customer service, keeping the store looking neat and tidy and knowledge about products and tools in different areas. I’m someone who picks up new skills quickly and enjoys the challenge of solving problems, whether it’s helping a customer find the right product or figuring out do a project. I’m organised and detail-oriented, which helps me keep track of everything from products to customer needs. I believe my combination of hands-on experience and enthusiasm makes me a strong candidate for a horticulture traineeship.

I’ve been working as a landscaping assistant for the last year, and that hands-on experience has given me a solid foundation in horticulture.
