Responsibilities of the host employer

As an employer of an apprentice or trainee, you are responsible for the following:
- making sure they receive the correct training
- making sure they are enrolled with a registered training organization (RTO)
- allowing them to leave work to attend off-the-job training
- providing appropriate facilities and experienced people to work with

How does Future1st monitor progress?
Our experienced Field Officers regularly visit workplaces and training institutes to monitor progress, discuss any arising issues, and mediate as required.
What are the responsibilities of the host employer?
As a host employer, your main responsibility is to provide on-the-job training to the apprentice or trainee. You're also required to allow them time off for their off-the-job training. You can learn more here: www.vrqa.vic.gov.au
How does Future1st select trainees and apprentices?
We screen applicants based on strict selection criteria, followed by an interview with us and a pre-selection assessment. The host employer also conducts an interview before final selection.
What services does Future1st offer?
We handle candidate sourcing, administrative tasks, training programs, payroll, and regular monitoring of the trainee's progress.
How does billing work?
We invoice weekly for the trainee's working week, including hours specifically allocated for training.
